Ο Paul Miller, a.k.a. dj Spooky, a.k.a. That Subliminal Kid, στο Sound Unbound λέει πως θα μπορούσε να είναι ένας server:

Aυτή η ιδέα του server μου φέρνει στο μυαλό το One Willshire στο Los Angeles. Τα κτήρια αυτά ονομάζονται συνήθως carrier hotels κ.α. και η χρήση τους είναι να προσφέρουν τις απαραίτητες υποδομές για την αποθήκευση δεδομένων (servers κτλ.) Το κτήριο αυτό αποτελεί ένα τόπο όπου κάτι πραγματικό πηγάζει από κάτι άλλο εξωπραγματικό.

Σε όλα τα παραπάνω θα μπορούσαν να προστεθούν εκατοντάδες ακόμα που να αποδεικνύουν πως το remix δεν αφορά αποκλειστικά ψηφιακά προιόντα ή έργα τέχνης. Το remix είναι πλέον αναπόσπαστο κομμάτι της σύχγρονης ζωής από τα παπούτσια που φοράμε μέχρι το αυτοκίνητο μας, και από τη μουσική που ακούμε μέχρι τα κείμενα που διαβάζουμε.
